Cookies
What cookies this site uses, why, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and, when enabled, understand how pages are used. For our broader privacy practices, see the privacy notice.
How we use cookies
Dataschema Base uses essential cookies required for basic operation (such as remembering your cookie preference) and optional analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate traffic. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
dataschemabase_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner | 1 year | Dataschema Base (first-party) |
dsb_session | Maintains basic site session integrity where enabled by hosting | Session | Dataschema Base / hosting |
_ga | Optional analytics: distinguishes visitors | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics (if accepted) |
_gid | Optional analytics: distinguishes visitors | 24 hours | Google Analytics (if accepted) |
If analytics are not enabled in a given deployment, the _ga and _gid cookies will not be set even after acceptance; your preference is still stored so the banner does not reappear unnecessarily.
Essential vs analytics
- Essential: required for storing consent and delivering core pages. These do not require optional consent under our banner model, but we still disclose them here.
- Analytics: help us see which public pages are read most often. Rejecting analytics does not block access to analyses information, contact forms, or journal articles.
Managing cookies
You can Accept or Reject non-essential cookies via the banner on first visit. To change your mind later, clear site data for dataschemabase.digital in your browser, then reload the site to see the banner again. You may also block cookies in browser settings; essential features such as reading pages will continue, though the banner may reappear if it cannot store your choice.
Third-party cookies
Optional analytics may set third-party cookies from the analytics provider. We do not use advertising cookies on this site. Embedded fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; that request may involve standard network logs on Google’s side but is not used by us as an advertising cookie.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics cookies has no effect on requesting a Yield Curve Advisory, reading the journal, or submitting the contact form. Blocking all cookies may prevent us from remembering your banner choice.
